Brand Experts Earn Rewards For Sharing Recommendations

In our research for PSFK’s Future Of Gaming report, the PSFK consulting team noticed a growing tendency towards games being used To Spread The Word. One example of this trend is the US based Needle – an online platform that enables companies to identify product experts who can deliver powerful, one-on-one product recommendations on a brand’s behalf, earning rewards for discussing products they already love. Companies install a Needle button on their product pages and assign an ‘expert’ to provide product advice and recommendations to shoppers through online chat, text, video and voice chats. Experts earn points for their contributions, which can be used to buy products from brands they are currently recommending.

Clothing retailer Urban Outfitters has recently partnered with Needle for on-site expert product recommendations and advice.
