Order Take Out On Your Smartphone With QR Codes

QR codes have been generally been used to provide users with more information on a certain product or company. Now, a firm based in Los Angeles, USA, has turned these square barcodes into mobile takeout menus. Customers can order and pay for their food simply by scanning the code with their smartphones.

The Order Takeout platform was launched this month by Paperlinks and has been put to work in a few restaurants. Once the customers checkouts online, Paperlinks then faxes or e-mails the restaurant the mobile order.

Paperlinks is a start-up tech company focusing on creating QR code-related business applications. Its clients include Nestle, GNC and Live Nation.
