UK: Waitrose launches loyalty card program

According to an article in Marketing Week UK, Waitrose has become the latest retailer to launch a loyalty card program, which will offer customers access to exclusive competitions and tailored offers.

The article continues that “the program differs from other loyalty programs such as Boots, Tesco and Sainsbury as it gives cardholders exclusive competitions and personalized offers versus rewarding member purchases with points. Waitrose will send the loyalty card to current mywaitrose online club members and customers on the John Lewis Partnership Card. Customers can also sign up online and in-store.”
