‘Own’ A Color, Help Unicef And Dulux Raise £16.7 Million For Children

In a unique partnership with international paint company Dulux, the United Nations Children’s Fund has launched ‘Own a Colour,’ a new campaign that invites people the opportunity to name one color for £1 from a selection of over 16.7 million colors, which is the approximate number of colors that an average computer, tablet, or smartphone can display. Patrons who purchase a color may rename it and have it displayed on a dedicated Dulux microsite.

The campaign aims to raise 16.7 million for UNICEF’s ongoing and upcoming projects and has received generous support from notable celebrities, such as Jemima Khan (CFC Blue), Duncan Bannatyne (Scottish Saltire Blue) and Sir Roger Moore (Swedish Blue). Own a Colour is an extension of the ‘Let’s Colour’ campaign, designed to realize a socially responsible and truly global vision for AkzoNobel Decorative Paints.
