Luxury Travelers Scan Porsche’s QR Codes Printed On Airplane Tickets

Porsche has teamed up with various airlines to print QR codes on the back of boarding passes. Passengers who scan the 2-D barcodes via their mobile devices will be directed to a customized page promoting the latest Porsche models featuring videos and other information about the luxury cars. In addition, Porsche will also enable consumers to request a test drive at a local Porsche dealer via the 2-D barcodes. Josh Cherfoli, online and relationship marketing manager at Porsche Cars North America, say that these efforts will target first-class, business-class and luxury vacation travelers. The company has experimented with QR codes before — their latest campaign involved employing QR codes to promote their electric concept vehicles.
