PAYBACK to launch “Payback Deals” in Germany

Payback, Europe’s largest loyalty program, is establishing another marketing channel with the launch of Payback Deals including a changing selection of discount offers to members across Germany. Customers in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin will receive a selection of special coupons for their specific regions when the platform launches on 4 October 2011. Other cities will follow suit in due course. Valid for a limited time only, the coupons can be purchased online and redeemed from the relevant companies via the Payback card.

“With this new project, Payback is providing SMEs and larger companies with a marketing platform that they can use both regionally and right throughout Germany. It will enable them to attract new customers, quickly cover shortfalls in capacity, bring new products onto the market and reach new customer groups with no coverage losses,” says Michael Stephan, Head of Payback Local Business & Cooperations.

As a multi-channel marketing platform, Payback in Germany already offers a combination of offline, online and mobile strategies for integrated campaigns designed to achieve optimum success. The launch of Deals allows Payback to expand its portfolio with an additional key offering for customers and companies.

There is a great deal of interest in coupons from Payback. According to a survey of Payback customers, 60 percent would welcome a platform like Payback Deals. This platform stands out from other providers thanks to Payback’s years of experience with its loyalty programme, the wide coverage and high level of brand recognition associated with Payback, the possibility of personalization and awarding of additional Payback points. Right from the very start, this new platform will give its partners access to the purchasing power of millions of customers in their specific region. The offers are valid for a limited time and can be directed toward target groups via all the relevant channels, i.e. online, offline and mobile. Companies can post their own offers in the partner section of the platform. A partner app with scan function makes it easier to register coupons at the point of sale.

“The opportunity to collect points makes Payback Deals even more attractive for customers. What’s more, it’s now even easier for them to redeem their coupons. Customers no longer have to print out their coupons — all they have to do is show their Payback card,” explains Stephan.
