On the Border Takes Club Cantina Mobile With Great Success

On The Border, a full-service, casual dining Mexican restaurant brand, has added a mobile component to its Club Cantina program. On The Border is using Key Ring Reward Cards’ mobile coupon and customer acquisition platform to introduce the mobile Club Cantina program for 150 restaurant locations. The program has helped increased Club Cantina enrollment by nearly 40,000 members in three months’ time. Gerald Mann, SVP Marketing for On The Border said, “We’ve been impressed with the results we’ve seen using Key Ring, especially regarding customer acquisition and offer redemptions.  It has proven to be a great mobile marketing tool!”

Through the mobile Club Cantina program, customers instantly receive offers on their smart phones and then flash the offer to the wait staff as they order. Eliminating the need to print offers for redemption and placing the offers in the mobile channel allowed On The Border to see redemption rates as high as 20%. Sending offers, the On The Border marketing team has the ability to craft targeted local store marketing campaigns and analyze rich data and customer feedback about offers.
